BANNER-LARGE DOT PARK-2014

Thanks to Mayor Walsh for the free concert performed by Soul City Band in Dorchester Park last night, which was enjoyed by so many on such a nice evening.

Now it’s time to look forward to the next big event in the Park – the Second Annual Antique Car Show and Family Fun Day on the Sunday, September 7.

Banners have been put up around the area. How many of them can you find? Plans are rapidly falling in place for what promises to be a wonderful day in Dorchester Park.  Please mark the Sunday after Labor Day on your calendars, and look forward to a pleasant time that is guaranteed to please people of all ages.

Last year there were about 1000 people at the event and this year even more are expected.  Antique and classic cars will be on display on the lower field and Family Activities and entertainment will take place on the upper field.  Food trucks and vendors will be conveniently located along the path between the two fields.  Water will be available for sale.  In the afternoon, horse drawn carriage rides along the scenic paths through the park will be available.  Admission to the car show and all activities is free.  A tent with tables and chairs will be close to the food vendors, but you can also bring your own picnic lunches.

Please follow this page as we get closer to the event.  Details and times of all the different activities will be posted in the next few weeks.  It’s only a short 5 weeks away.

Awesome! An event in Dot for Dot Rats….
I cruise the streets in my ’56 Chevy looking for a place to gather without driving to Weymouth or Foxboro to show my car. I’m letting the whole Family know where to go on Sunday the 7th…..
